The State Enterprise "Forests of Ukraine" demonstrated unprecedented financial results in 2025 and became one of the key contributors to the state budget. The total amount of deductions exceeded UAH 15 billion, which is a record figure in the entire history of the enterprise.

This was reported by the head of the State Enterprise "Forests of Ukraine" Yuriy Bolokhovets in his Facebook post. According to him, the enterprise has actually turned into a "real donor to the state budget", because in the current year alone it received more than UAH 8 billion in profit - more than in all previous years combined.

In addition to financial results, investments in the development of the industry increased significantly in 2025. According to Bolokhovets, investments by the State Enterprise "Forests of Ukraine" in the restoration and modernization of forestry approached UAH 2 billion. The company also implemented the presidential program “Green Country”, within the framework of which 1 billion trees were planted.

Important results were also achieved in the field of forest protection. Despite constant shelling, the area of ​​forest fires was reduced by four times. Thanks to this, tens of thousands of hectares of self-sowing and unallocated forests that were previously under threat of destruction were saved.

Commenting on the results of the year, the head of the company emphasized that the team’s work should be evaluated based on specific results. “The result, as they say, is on the scoreboard, and it is worth objectively evaluating the team’s work based on it — even if you are not our fan,” Yuriy Bolokhovets noted.

In his opinion, the achieved indicators were a direct result of the forest reform. It made it possible to introduce strong centralized management and effective control, ensure transparent procurement, as well as open and competitive sales of products. According to Bolokhovets, the pre-reform system was fragmented and corrupt and did not demonstrate even a tenth of the current results, remaining a source of enrichment for a narrow circle of individuals.

The head of the state enterprise also drew attention to the resistance to reforms, which, according to him, persists today. He explained that shadow schemes and illegal profits always have their supporters, and the pressure and persecution that the enterprise has faced during the year are attempts to stop the changes that, for the first time in the years of independence, made the forest a real state resource.

For 2026, “Forests of Ukraine” has already formed ambitious plans. Among the key priorities are further digitalization of management, the introduction of new global control systems, expansion of mechanization and an increase in the volume of harvesting, as well as the implementation of large-scale projects to demine forest areas.
