In the first five months of the 2025/26 marketing year, Ukraine exported 26 thousand tons of wheat flour. This is 11% less than in the same period of the previous season 2024/25, reports the APK-Inform agency. Such dynamics indicate a gradual decrease in export volumes due to a number of factors, in particular, a decrease in domestic production.

In November, the volume of shipped flour amounted to 5.4 thousand tons, which is 7% less than in November last year. This also confirms the trend of decreasing supplies of Ukrainian products to foreign markets.

The main consumers of Ukrainian wheat flour traditionally remain Moldova, the Czech Republic and Palestine. The share of these countries in total exports is 30%, 18% and 16%, respectively. However, in the current season, these importers have reduced their purchases, which has negatively affected overall export volumes.

Moldova purchased 7.9 thousand tons of flour, which is 10% less than last season. The Czech Republic reduced its imports by 23%, to 4.7 thousand tons. Palestine reduced its purchases the most — to 4.3 thousand tons, compared to 5.7 thousand tons in the previous marketing year, which is a decrease of 25%.

The decrease in exports is correlated with the decline in domestic production. In July-November 2025/26 MY, 371.7 thousand tons of wheat flour were produced in Ukraine, which is 8% less than in the same period last season. The decrease in production volumes is due, in particular, to a reduction in wheat processing at domestic facilities.

Analysts predict that by the end of the 2025/26 marketing year, the volume of wheat processing in Ukraine will be about 2.6 million tons. This is 2% less than last season, which confirms the general trend towards a reduction in the production and export of wheat flour.
