A new fish processing enterprise based on the Lviv Regional Production Fish Plant PJSC has started operating in the Lviv region. The plant produces more than 12 tons of finished products per day and provides work for about 300 people. This was announced by the head of the Lviv Regional Military Administration, Maksym Kozytsky.
According to him, the production capacity of the new plant meets international quality standards. The plans include entering the markets of the European Union countries. This will not only increase production volumes, but also create additional opportunities for the export of Ukrainian products with high added value.
Kozytsky thanked the project investors — Oleksandr and Vitaliy Svishchov — for their trust in the state and contribution to the development of the region. He also noted the role of everyone who participated in the project: employees of the enterprise, engineers, technologists, builders and local authorities. He believes that the joint work has yielded significant results for the economy of the Lviv region.
Currently, the fish market in the region remains underserved: local production meets only 2% of needs. Although the region has over 5 thousand hectares of water resources and several dozen enterprises operate, their potential is only partially used. That is why the launch of a new plant is a step towards balancing the domestic market and reducing dependence on imports.
The regional authorities have declared their readiness to support investment initiatives in the agricultural and food industries. Within the framework of the Comprehensive Program for Supporting the Agricultural Sector, investors are offered individual support, assistance in resolving logistical, regulatory and land issues. According to Kozytsky, the Lviv region strives to create modern and environmentally responsible enterprises in each district, oriented both to the domestic market and to export.
At the end of his speech, the head of the OVA thanked legal business for supporting the economy and the army, and Ukrainian defenders for the opportunity to work and develop the country even in wartime. The new plant has become an example of how industrial initiatives can combine economic efficiency with social responsibility.
