In May 2025, the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine approved a new distribution of funds under the state program to support farmers, which provides for compensation of 25% of the cost of purchased domestic agricultural equipment. According to the results of May applications, 50 agricultural producers will receive a total of over UAH 6.8 million in compensation.
These funds were distributed among those agricultural enterprises that purchased 65 units of equipment in May for over UAH 27 million (excluding VAT). The program is aimed at stimulating demand for Ukrainian engineering products and is designed to increase the efficiency and technological capacity of agricultural enterprises.
As Deputy Minister of Economy Andriy Telyupa emphasized, this initiative is one of the key elements of the national course for the development of domestic production within the framework of the “Made in Ukraine” strategy. He also reminded that applications for compensation can be submitted throughout the year, but the deadline for participation in this year's budget financing is December 1, so farmers are advised not to delay submitting documents.
Thanks to participation in the program, farmers were able to update their technical fleet. Among the purchased equipment are cultivators, seeders, sprayers, harrows, plows, weighing equipment, vacuum semi-trailers-tanks, fertilizer spreaders, grain elevator elevators, storage bunkers, livestock complexes, manipulators and other additional equipment. All of this is the product of Ukrainian manufacturers that meets modern agro-technological requirements.
In May, agricultural producers from 17 regions of Ukraine joined the program. The most active were farmers from Dnipropetrovsk region, who submitted 7 applications, from Mykolaiv region - 6, as well as from Kyiv and Cherkasy regions - 5 applications each. This indicates a high interest in the program from different regions.
The state program for compensating part of the cost of domestic equipment continues to play an important role in the modernization of the Ukrainian agricultural sector, contributes to the development of national mechanical engineering, and strengthens the economic independence of Ukraine in the face of war and global challenges.
