As part of the state program for partial compensation for the cost of Ukrainian industrial equipment, the Ministry of Economy will pay 5 million hryvnias in compensation to 14 enterprises in May. This is a mechanism that provides for reimbursement of 15% of the cost of purchased domestically produced equipment.
According to the press center of the State Customs Service, in May, enterprises purchased 15 units of equipment for the amount of 33.4 million hryvnias (excluding VAT). The list of purchased equipment included passenger elevators, tractor trailers, semi-trailers of various types, as well as solar power plants. It was for these items that the state compensated 15% of the cost.
Since the beginning of the new stage of the program, which started in December 2023, businesses have already invested more than 300 million hryvnias in the purchase of domestic equipment. During this period, the amount of state compensation reached almost 45 million hryvnias. Such support stimulates the modernization of production facilities, while ensuring a stable load on domestic factories.
The government also decided to allocate an additional UAH 200 million to continue the program. This creates new opportunities for industrialists and supports national manufacturers who supply equipment to various regions of the country.
Compensation was provided to entrepreneurs who purchased products from the following Ukrainian companies:
"Karat-Liftkomplekt" and "Zavod Euroformat" (elevators);
"Everlast" (semi-trailers-tanks);
"Trans-Avto-D", "Zmiiv-Trans", "Zavod Kobzarenko" (semi-trailers and tractor trailers);
"Ter Sun Energy" (solar power plants).
Among the leaders in terms of compensation amounts are Sumy region (1.59 million UAH), Lviv region (0.65 million UAH), Khmelnytskyi region (0.59 million UAH), Ternopil region (0.52 million UAH) and Poltava region (0.49 million UAH).
The funds will be transferred to the accounts of buyers in the banks through which they purchased the equipment and submitted applications. 25 banks have already been involved in the implementation of the program, including: Oschadbank, PrivatBank, Ukrgasbank, Ukrsibbank, Procredit Bank and Poltava-Bank.
This initiative demonstrates real state support for small and medium-sized businesses in updating their technical base and contributes to the growth of domestic production and employment in the industrial sector.
