Ukrainian flour exports reach 60,000 tons since the start of the season
Since the start of the current marketing season, Ukraine has continued to actively supply flour to foreign markets. According to the latest data, flour exports have reached 60,000 tons. This indicator indicates stable demand for Ukrainian products abroad, despite the challenges associated with the war and logistical difficulties.
Compared to previous years, current export volumes show moderate growth, given the economic and geopolitical conditions. The main sales markets remain countries in Asia, Africa, and the Middle East. Among the leaders in importing Ukrainian flour are China, Indonesia, Lebanon, and North African countries.
Wheat flour accounts for the largest share in exports. Its quality meets international standards, which allows Ukraine to remain competitive on the world market even in the face of growing competition from other producing countries.
Analysts note that Ukrainian processing enterprises have effectively adapted to the new conditions, in particular, they have changed logistics routes, more actively use ports on the Danube and railways through the western borders. This has partially compensated for the losses associated with the blocking of sea routes in the Black Sea.
Another important factor in the growth of exports was the decrease in domestic consumption of flour due to changes in the population structure and a decrease in purchasing power. As a result, more products are being exported.
It is expected that by the end of the marketing season, the volume of flour exports may increase by several tens of thousands of tons if the current dynamics of demand and the stability of logistics chains are maintained.
