State online auctions for land sublease brought almost 4 million hryvnias to the budget per week

From May 5 to 9, 2025, 13 online auctions for the sublease of state agricultural lands were held in the Prozorro electronic system. As a result, the state budget received 3.8 million hryvnias. Taking into account the value added tax, the total economic effect of the auctions amounted to 4.6 million hryvnias.

This was reported by the press service of the state institution "Land Bank", which is the operator of land assets and administers the participation of state plots in open auctions. The auctions covered the territories of five regions of Ukraine: Sumy, Kharkiv, Mykolaiv, Khmelnytskyi and Zhytomyr. The total area of ​​​​the plots offered for sublease was 376.87 hectares.

The auctions were mainly attended by regional agricultural companies, representatives of small and medium-sized agribusiness, and farms. In total, 35 participants joined the auctions. This indicates the active interest of local market players in accessing state land resources through transparent mechanisms.

The average sublease fee according to the auction results was 10.2 thousand hryvnias per hectare. Interestingly, during electronic bidding, starting prices increased by an average of 4.3 times, which indicates the high competitive potential of state lands even in short-term sublease.

The greatest interest was aroused by a land plot with an area of ​​85.3 hectares, located in the Sumy region. Seven participants competed for the right to sublease it. As a result of the bidding, the starting price was increased by 6.5 times, to the final price of 2.4 million hryvnias. This made it the most expensive lot of the week, and the cost of one hectare of this plot reached 28.2 thousand hryvnias.

Holding such auctions contributes to the effective use of the state land fund, replenishing the budget, and bringing into economic circulation areas that may previously have remained inefficiently used or unavailable for transparent lease.
