The state supports farmers: over 220 million hryvnias in compensation for Ukrainian equipment in February-March

As part of the state program for partial compensation for the cost of domestic agricultural equipment, the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine has approved a new tranche of payments. According to applications submitted in February and March 2025, 1,034 agricultural producers will receive over 222.7 million hryvnias in compensation. This is the second funding since the beginning of the year aimed at supporting Ukrainian agricultural enterprises.

This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Economy. The program, which provides for reimbursement of 25% of the cost of purchased equipment of Ukrainian production, remains one of the key mechanisms of state support for the agricultural sector. It allows farms to update their technical fleet on favorable terms, and at the same time stimulates the development of domestic mechanical engineering.

Deputy Minister of Economy Andriy Telyupa emphasized that in 2025 the government allocated 1.5 billion hryvnias for the implementation of this program. Part of these funds have already been distributed among farmers based on the results of purchases in the first months of the year. According to the official, support for agricultural machinery manufacturers also creates additional jobs and increases production orders for Ukrainian factories.

During February and March, Ukrainian agricultural producers purchased 1,445 units of domestically produced machinery and equipment for over UAH 890 million excluding VAT. This indicates high demand for mechanisms made in Ukraine and the willingness of farms to invest in modernization even in difficult conditions.

The largest amount of compensation funds has been directed to farmers from five regions. The leader is Mykolaiv region, where farmers will receive UAH 32.8 million. This is followed by Sumy (UAH 28.6 million), Kyiv (UAH 15.1 million), Kirovohrad (UAH 14.4 million) and Cherkasy (UAH 14.0 million). These regions demonstrate active participation in the program and at the same time increase the level of technical equipment of their farms.

Let us recall that in 2024, within the framework of this program, farmers purchased 5,311 units of Ukrainian equipment with a total value of over 4.2 billion hryvnias. The state then reimbursed almost 877 million hryvnias. The current dynamics indicate the stable functioning of the program and the interest of agricultural market participants in its continuation.
