Successful start of land auctions in Ukraine: the first lot was sold for over 3 million hryvnias

The first land auction was held in Ukraine as part of the large-scale project "Land Bank", which aims to create a transparent market for state agricultural land. The winning bid for the lease of a plot in the Vinnytsia region exceeded 3 million hryvnias, which became an important step in reforming the country's land relations.

This was announced by the Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food Vitaliy Koval. He emphasized that the successful holding of this auction demonstrates the readiness of the agricultural sector for new working conditions and opens up great opportunities for the development of farming in Ukraine.

At the auction, 14 participants competed for the right to lease an agricultural plot with an area of ​​more than 115 hectares, which is located outside the settlements of the former Horodkiv village council in the Tulchyn district of the Vinnytsia region. The initial price of the lot was almost 500,000 hryvnias, but thanks to active competition, the final rental amount increased to 3,20,000 hryvnias. The winner of the bidding was the "Y.K. Hychak" farm.

Minister Koval noted that the "Land Bank" project creates equal conditions for all market participants, regardless of the size of the enterprise. This opens up new prospects for both large agricultural holdings and small farmers, in particular, immigrants who want to start their business in agriculture. An important advantage of the project is the transparency of the auctions, which makes shadow schemes impossible.

As part of the project, the State Property Fund (FDMU) plans to hold 16 more land auctions through the "Prozorro.Prodazhi" platform. Funds received from the sale of land will be directed to the state and local budgets, which will contribute to the development of infrastructure and local communities.

By the end of 2024, the FSMU intends to put up for sale almost 100,000 hectares of state agricultural land in 20 regions of Ukraine. For the effective implementation of the project, LLC "State Land Bank" was created - the first state land operator, which is fully owned by the state and ensures transparent and effective management of land resources.

The "Land Bank" project promises to become a key stage in the reform of the land market in Ukraine, opening up new opportunities for farmers and contributing to the development of the country's agrarian sector.
