The third meeting of the "Lublin Triangle" took place in Warsaw, at which representatives of the agrarian committees of the parliaments of Ukraine, Poland and Lithuania signed the Tripartite Declaration. This document calls on the leadership of the EU and member states to limit the access of Russian and Belarusian agricultural products to the European market. This was reported by the Ukrainian Grain Association.

Deputy Chairman of the Parliament's Committee on Agrarian and Land Policy of Ukraine Stepan Chernyavskyi explained that the declaration calls on the EU to take a number of important actions. In particular, it is about banning the import and transit of agricultural products from Russia and Belarus to EU countries. This restriction is designed to reduce the dependence of the European market on agricultural products from these countries.

Chernyavskyi also noted that the declaration includes restrictions on Russian manufacturers' access to advanced technologies, implementation of intervention systems for the purchase of surplus grain, and assistance to Ukraine in restoring its position on the world market. This, according to him, will allow not only to protect the European market, but also to support Ukrainian manufacturers in a difficult time for them.

One of the key points of the declaration is the expansion of the "Lublin Triangle" by involving Latvia and Estonia. Chernyavskyi believes that this will allow more effective control of the export and transit of Russian agricultural products through the Baltic countries and Poland.

"It is necessary to introduce a collective ban on the export and transit of all agricultural products from Russia and Belarus across the border of Poland, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia and Ukraine as soon as possible. Europe will definitely benefit from this, because the pressure on its internal prices for agricultural products will significantly decrease," - emphasized Chernyavskyi.

This meeting was the third within the framework of the "Lublin Triangle", the first of which took place on April 2 in Warsaw, and the second - in Ukraine. The initiative is aimed at strengthening dialogue with the EU and establishing closer cooperation with pan-European agrarian structures. The purpose of these meetings is to build a stable system of cooperation that would ensure the stability of the European agricultural market and support for the Ukrainian agricultural sector.
