New trends in the agricultural sector of the Rivne region: increase in corn and soybean acreage, decrease in sunflower acreage

The agricultural sector of the Rivne region is preparing for a new agricultural season with new promising trends. According to the regional statistics office, this year it is planned to increase the area under corn and soybeans, while the area under sunflower will be reduced.

According to forecasts, the area under corn will increase by 10%, which is a positive trend compared to last year. Corn is one of the key crops of the region, which is used as fodder, as well as for the production of ethanol and other biofuels. An increase in the area sown under this crop will contribute to the increase in the production of fodder for animal husbandry and the energy independence of the region.

It is also predicted that the area sown under soybeans will increase. This crop, grown to obtain soybeans, is important for the agricultural sector not only as a fodder crop, but also as a raw material for the food and chemical industries. An increase in soybean cultivation can be an additional stimulus for the development of the local economy and the creation of new jobs.

Instead, the areas under the sunflower will be reduced. Sunflower is a traditional crop in the region, but due to a number of objective reasons, such as demanding soil and climate, farmers decided to reduce its cultivation in favor of more promising crops.

In general, new trends in the agriculture of the Rivne region indicate gradual development and adaptation to modern market requirements. The farmers' decision reflects their strategic vision of the development of the industry and effective use of the region's resources.
