Ukrainian agricultural enterprises will use innovative methods of fighting droughts for the first time

Ukrainian farmers are going to use a new innovative solution for combating drought for the first time. This solution consists in the application of aeroponic irrigation systems, which allow efficient use of water resources and provide plants with moisture in conditions of insufficient rainfall.

Over the past few years, Ukraine has been troubled by dry periods, which negatively affect the yield and quality of agricultural crops. In this regard, farmers are looking for new ways to combat this phenomenon. The use of aeroponic systems is one of such innovative solutions.

Aeroponics is a method of growing plants in an environment where the roots are in the air rather than in the soil. For irrigation, a special sprayer is used, which sprays water in the form of a mist over the roots of plants. This method allows you to effectively provide plants with moisture and water resources, without wasting them.

One of the agricultural enterprises in the Zaporizhia region plans to install an aeroponic irrigation system on an area of more than 100 hectares. This will be the first major application of aeroponics in agriculture in Ukraine. According to the representatives of the enterprise, they hope to increase the yield and quality of the crop thanks to this innovative technology.

The use of aeroponic irrigation systems can be the first step towards a wider introduction of innovative methods in the agriculture of Ukraine. Given the increasing number of dry periods, the development of such technologies may be key to ensuring the resilience of the country's agricultural sector to climate change.
