Sowing of spring crops: start in four regions

Agricultural producers from four regions of Ukraine - Vinnytsia, Mykolaiv, Odesa and Kherson - have started sowing spring grain and legumes. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy.

It is noted that farmers are sowing wheat, barley and peas.

As of the end of February, 22.3 thousand hectares were sown. Of these, 0.8 thousand hectares are under wheat, 11.4 thousand hectares under barley, and 10.2 thousand hectares under peas.

In particular:

7.8 thou hectares of barley and 7.1 thou hectares of peas were sown in Odesa region;
in Mykolaiv region - 3.5 thousand hectares of barley and 2.4 thousand hectares of peas;
Vinnytsia region - 0.8 thousand hectares of wheat and 0.5 thousand hectares of peas;
in Kherson region - 0.05 thousand hectares of barley and 0.15 thousand hectares of peas.
