15 янв, 14:07

Ukrainian test gardeners have found great success in adapting an extremely frost-resistant peach variety in different regions of the country. The Khasansky peach clone Zhelezov of Siberian selection has already successfully adapted in Sumy, Kharkiv and Volyn regions. This was reported by amateur gardener Valeriy Saliy in his interview for the magazine "Gardening in Ukrainian".

The Khasan peach variety is characterized by its impressive frost and dryness resistance, surpassing other rootstock varieties growing in Ukraine. This type of peach can bear fruit even in cold and unattractive spring conditions.

The gardener emphasized that the Khasan peach clone Zhelezova can be grown from seed without the need for grafting, it does not need chemical treatments and does not require pruning at all.

This adaptation represents a huge opportunity for Ukrainian gardeners to grow peaches that are frost-resistant and resistant to harsh winter conditions, contributing to increased yields and improved fruit quality.
