The Ukrainian carrot market is experiencing a sharp rise in price due to the increased demand for a high-quality variety of this vegetable. According to analysts of the EastFruit project, farmers are currently selling carrots for 10-14 UAH per kilogram, which is on average 20% more expensive than at the end of last week.

Experts explain that this price increase is due to increased purchases by large wholesale companies and retail chains before the New Year, as well as the completion of the sale of carrots from unequipped storage facilities.

Carrots are currently being shipped at a price of UAH 10-14 per kilogram, which is on average 20% more expensive than at the end of last week.

Analysts point out that the price increase contributes to a significant increase in trade activity in the segment of quality carrots. It is noted that many farms have suspended the sale of carrots, waiting for further price increases and reserving the main crop for storage. The supply on the market is limited due to this strategy.

Despite this, at the moment, carrots in Ukraine are on sale on average 31% cheaper than last year. Analysts note that this trend may be temporary, and further price increases may lead to the sale of carrots from storage, which will increase supply and lead to lower prices.

The Ukrainian market also faced a rise in prices for onions, potatoes, and cabbage, while prices for beets, on the other hand, are declining. The market analysis shows dynamic changes in the price dynamics of vegetables in Ukraine, which can be determined by the influence of various factors on production and consumption.
