Exports of agricultural products by water transport increased to 4.3 million tons

In November this year, exports of agricultural products by water reached a record high of 4.3 million tons, the highest monthly volume since April. This cargo included 2.7 million tons shipped through the Black Sea ports and 1.6 million tons through the Danube ports.

This information is reported by Spike Brokers, indicating that market freight rates remained virtually unchanged. At the same time, there is a limited supply of the marine fleet for the transportation of goods from the Black Sea ports.

"It is worth noting that the supply of fleet for transportation on the Danube remains consistently higher than demand, which led to a slight decrease in freight rates compared to the previous week," the analysts said.

Below are the market rates for water transportation:

Izmail, Ukraine - Constanta, Romania: €20-26 (1-3 thousand tons),
Izmail, Ukraine - Ruse, Bulgaria: €25-29 (1-3 thousand tons),
Chornomorsk, Ukraine - Eastern Italy: $40-45 (16-20 thsd tonnes),
Chornomorsk, Ukraine - Spain: 37-43$ (25-35 thsd tonnes),
Chornomorsk, Ukraine - Spain: $35-41 (55-65 thousand tons).
This growth in exports of agricultural products by water transport determines the activity of the Ukrainian agricultural sector, providing a strong flow of goods to foreign markets in the context of economic recovery and a gradual withdrawal from military restrictions.
