Record harvest: Ukraine harvests nearly 77 million tons of grains and oilseeds

Ukrainian agrarians are impressing with their productivity, having harvested almost 77 million tons of new crops as of the end of the fall. Out of this total, 56,254.2 thousand tons are grains, and 20,719 thousand tons are oilseeds, ProAgro Group reports, citing data from the Ministry of Agrarian Policy.

Five regions of Ukraine have already successfully completed this year's harvest cycle, including Vinnytsia, Kyiv, Odesa, Zaporizhzhia, and Mykolaiv regions.

Grain and pulses were harvested on an area of 10,354 thou hectares, yielding 54.3 c/ha. The leaders in the grain sector were producers from Vinnytsia region, where they harvested over 5 million tons of grain. Poltava and Cherkasy regions also hit record yields, harvesting 4 million tons each.

In the oilseeds segment, we managed to harvest 8,213 thou hectares. In particular, the sunflower harvest amounted to 11,936 thousand tons of seeds with a yield of 23.8 c/ha, and soybeans - 4,778 thousand tons with a yield of 26.5 c/ha. The rapeseed harvest has also been completed, with 4,005 thou tons of seeds harvested on an area of 1,396 thou hectares.

In addition, it is important to note the high quality of sugar beet, which was dug on an area of 242.1 thousand hectares. The harvest of sweet beet roots amounted to 11,332.6 thousand tons, which is an impressive result with a yield of 468.1 c/ha.

Ukrainian agrarians continue to demonstrate their capacity and production potential and will actively contribute to the country's economic recovery.
