A new champion has been born in the world of hot peppers. Ed Curry, the renowned South Carolina hot pepper expert recognized as the creator of the famous Carolina Reaper, has just set a new world record for hotness with the introduction of Pepper X, a pepper that surpasses all previous records. The new Pepper X hotness rating reaches an incredible 2,693,000 Scoville heat units (SHU). This was reported by the Associated Press.
On October 9, the Guinness Book of Records publicly recognized Pepper X as the hottest pepper in the world.
Ed Curry has been working on creating a new type of hot pepper for 10 years. It was introduced to the global spicy world for the first time with a triumph.
So far, only five people worldwide have tried Pepper X, including Ed Curry himself. His compassion for this pepper is hard to overestimate.
"For a long time, I felt an incredible burning sensation. Then came the cramps," the researcher describes his journey into the world of burning. "These cramps were terrible. For about an hour I just lay there, burned, on a marble slab in the rain, moaning in pain."
This new find in the world of hot peppers can be a real challenge for spicy food lovers. Pepper X exceeds the spiciness of even the outstanding Carolina Reaper, which has about 1,641,183 Scoville units. Spicy food fans and culinary experts are already interested in trying Pepper X.
This hot newcomer is now recognized as the hottest pepper in the world, and its spiciness is becoming a topic of discussion and research among spicy food lovers and culinary experts who are always looking for new experiences and challenges.
