The State Property Fund has successfully held an auction for the privatization of the Strutyn distillery located in Lviv region. Two companies competed for the right to own this asset, and during the bidding, the value of the plant increased 3.2 times to UAH 100.1 million, the press service of the State Property Fund of Ukraine reports.
The successful buyer will also be obliged to settle the company's debts to the budget and its employees, which amount to UAH 31.3 million.
The auction was won by Dwaylins Opti, which was founded only a year ago and is owned by Oksana Kopach, a resident of Lviv. The same company participated in the privatization tender for the Uhersky distillery, also located in Lviv region, and won it in early July.
The Strutyn distillery, which was founded in 1906 and underwent its last modernization in 2019, specializes in the production of ethyl alcohol and can produce up to 22,000 liters of product daily.
Over the past year, the State Property Fund has sold 14 distilleries, bringing UAH 965 million to the state budget. This amount is more than 25% of all proceeds from small-scale privatization in Ukraine.
